# Logic AU

Newton already builds an Audio Unit target for Logic Pro.

## Build

```sh
cmake --build build --target NewtonTrackEngineer_AU
```

## Install

```sh
./scripts/install_logic_au.sh
```

This copies the built component to:

```text
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
```

## Verify

1. Restart Logic Pro.
2. Insert `Newton Track Engineer` on an audio track or bus.
3. If Logic does not show the plugin immediately, force an Audio Units rescan by restarting Logic after installing the component.

## Notes

- The AU target is the one Logic uses. AUv3 is not required for normal Logic desktop use.
- The shared Newton core already supports the same analysis and plan path used by the standalone app.

## Release Package

To build the single-file installer for Logic users:

```sh
./scripts/package_logic_au.sh
```

That creates:

```text
build/release/Newton-Track-Engineer-Logic-AU.pkg
```

The package installs the AU component into:

```text
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
```
